About
I am currently a 5th year PhD candidate at the University of South Carolina (UofSC) in the Department of Mathematics under the supervision of Changhui Tan.
Prior to graduate school, I received a BS from Virginia Tech in Mathematics and minors in Statistics and Actuarial Science. While at Virginia Tech, I did research in Math Education with Dr. Megan Wawro, rowed for Virginia Tech Crew, and went to many Hokie football games!
I have always loved mathematics and knew as young as elementary school that I wanted to do math as a career. Outside of mathematics, I enjoy taking my dog Duke on long walks by the river. I very much enjoy making things from baking and cooking to now knitting and crocheting. For leisure, I love watching college football and reading books.
I adopted Winston in August of 2018 in Maryland. He is 12 years old and 16 lbs. and enjoys using the corners of Math textbook to scratch his chin.
I adopted Duke in September 2020, a pandemic pup! He is about 6 years old and loves long walks by the river and playing with his squeaky ball.
